2022 So Far: The Year, in Merch

Here’s a look at the last 5 months through the eyes of a bunch of merchandising creatives who had too much time on their hands. Enjoy!

The Will Smith Slap
By now, the internet is flooded with theories. It was staged as a promotion for alopecia medication. It was NOT staged and Will Smith is being controlled by Jada. It was unprofessional. It was deserved. Whatever it was, wherever you were, you heard this slap resound through news, memes, forwards, spoofs, the works. Now here’s the event summarized in a t-shirt.

The Rat in the Dog Park
Recently, a video went viral of a group of presumably dog owners in a dog park defending a rat that made the mistake of choosing this day, this time, to metaphorically 'break on through to the other side'. What a testament to our times. Aren’t we all rats trying to run through a dog park. Don’t we all have those 2 humans who would protect us even though they know we’re vermin? Here’s a t-shirt to wear on stressful days!

Hell House Gets Sold!
The house that inspired the movie ‘The Conjuring’ has been sold at 1.5M$ to a daring woman named Jacquelin Nunez. The previous owners (around whose family the movie is based) have sold the house on the condition that the new owners do NOT live in the house, but do continue to lease it out on Business to people who dare spend a night there, film makers, paranormal investigators, etc. So we made a t-shirt for the new owners. We hope they appreciate the sentiment!

2022: The Year of Responsible Travel??
This one’s a simple one. We made a tee for the super cute tweet that was posted by twitter user @mindexcavator which highlights what every middle class family with a paranoid dad goes through. Check out the tee if you haven’t already read the tweet!
The tweet reads: 8.40 ki train ke liye meri family 7.15 baje station station pahuch gayi hai. Aapki family kitni der pehle pohchti hai?

Irrational Fears? Just Random Occurrences in 2022, Apparently.
We’ve all somehow grown up with 2 irrational fears living in Asia:
> The ceiling fan will fall off and decapitate us in our sleep
> Something will crawl up the toilet and catch us at our most vulnerable

Unfortunately for this young Singapore gamer, the second fear became a reality. Singapore man sits down to answer nature’s call while playing possibly an extremely intense round of PUBG Mobile. Apparently our man hot dropped into Pochinki, because he didn’t notice a (thankfully non poisonous) snake crawl out of the bathroom and bite him on his….er…hind quarters.
So we thought this t-shirt was hilarious. We hope you do too, snake man!
